Plastic Injection & Design Specialist (m/f/d) 

We are seeking to recruit a Tool Specialist to assist our Plastic Injection and Matotech tool shop. The selected candidate would be responsible for taking care of new Plastic Injection and Press tools.

Main responsibilities include carrying out design changes and the following tasks:

• Design of new parts, jigs, robot plates, gauges, and tools using Creo Parametric.  

• Design modification or repairs on moulds and press tools.
• Reverse engineering when drawings are not available. 
• Designing of electrodes for Spark Erosion. 
• Carrying out research on new products, materials, or processes and identifying issues on plastic injection tools.
• Request quotations for new tools.
• Attend meetings and design reviews with customers. 
• Issue purchase requisitions for items required and check items once received.  

• Be an excellent communicator and a team player.
• Have good knowledge of plastic injection tools, press tools and jigs with knowledge of the various polymers and their properties.
• Coaching tool suppliers and customers, offering suggestions for improvements.
• Be proactive in continuous improvements within the area, with a positive attitude towards quality and safety.

Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of English Language (both spoken and written).
• Good working knowledge of MS applications including Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Creo Parametric would be considered an asset.
