In 2019 Seifert Systems AG was contacted by apprentices from K.R. Pfiffner AG. The Pfiffner AG., based in Switzerland, forms part of the internationally active FFG Group, which unites 15 traditional manufacturers of turning, milling, grinding and gear cutting machines.
The project group consisting of 4 apprentices was commissioned to build an e-bike shelter with a charging station for the workforce. The control cabinet required was to be equipped with a cooling unit and Seifert was selected as the project partner.
The TG 3102 Peltier cooling unit with a cooling capacity of 100 W was chosen for this innovative idea of the apprentices. These thermoelectric cooling devices have a protection class of IP 66 and are therefore ideally suited for outdoor use.
With 12 x 290 W solar modules which cover the entire roof of the shelter, the batteries are charged with a capacity of 9600 Wh and up to 16 e-bike can be charged at the same time.
