This year’s event kicked off with a courtesy call on the President of Malta, HE Dr George Abela, at the Palace in San Anton on Wednesday, 13th March. Mr Philipp Seifert, Operations Manager at Seifert, represented the Company.
On 20th March, a group of Seifert employees, comprising some 15 staff members ranging from senior management to shopfloor personnel came together, volunteering to join the Initiative. This year’s contribution involved cleaning works at the location at Top of the World, Gharghur. The place was formerly used as a storage place for electrical equipment by the British Forces during colonial times. All the rooms on the site were cleared up from wood, stones, tyres, and other material. The surrounding area and passages were cleared from invasive vegetation.
This is a first step in a project whereby the site will be transformed into a recreational area, to include also a space for art/cultural exhibitions, which could be set up.
Seifert Systems is proud to have given a little contribution and thanks the NGO Friends of Don Bosco for this opportunity.
